On January 6, NMS and Jiangxi Copper Corporation (Jiangxi Copper) formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Under the agreement, the two parties will deepen collaboration across multiple areas, including resource integration and project development, brand collaboration, coordinated development, overseas market expansion, and information exchange, establishing a comprehensive strategic partnership. Zhou Shaobing, Deputy Party Secretary, Vice Chairman and President of Jiangxi Copper, and Gong Youliang, Vice Chairman and Executive Vice President of NMS, attended the signing ceremony and signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.

Founded in 1979, Jiangxi Copper Corporation is a mega-sized integrated enterprise in China’s nonferrous metals industry, covering copper mining, beneficiation, smelting, processing, and related businesses. It is China’s largest copper products producer and a major supplier of sulfur chemical raw materials as well as gold, silver, and rare metals. Jiangxi Copper ranks No. 165 on the Fortune Global 500 and No. 398 on the World Brand 500 list. As a globally leading integrated copper company, Jiangxi Copper has accumulated deep technical expertise and extensive practical experience across the entire value chain—exploration, mining, beneficiation, smelting, and processing—with operations spanning worldwide. In 2024, Jiangxi Copper reported operating revenue of USD 77.6676 billion.
As one of China’s technologically advanced suppliers of mid- to high-end mining equipment and services, NMS focuses on the R&D, design, manufacturing, sales, and aftermarket services of crushing and screening equipment for metal mining and aggregates. Its products are widely applied in iron ore, copper ore, lithium ore, and other metal mining operations. NMS maintains long-term partnerships with leading domestic and international enterprises, including Chinalco, China Gold, Baowu, China Minmetals, Zijin Mining, BHP, and CRH.
Pursuant to the agreement, both parties will adhere to the principles of “strong partnership, complementary strengths, and mutual benefit”, actively exploring diversified cooperation models to advance project implementation. To ensure efficient execution, a joint working mechanism and regular senior-level communication mechanism will be established, strengthening coordination in project alignment, market development, and technological upgrading.

Zhou Shaobing highly affirmed the strategic significance of the partnership. He noted that amid accelerating globalization and an increasingly complex external environment, it is essential to firmly support domestic manufacturing and proactively deepen cooperation with high-quality local enterprises, promoting industrial chain synergy and shared value creation. Jiangxi Copper will continue to support outstanding provincial enterprises such as NMS, leveraging innovative cooperation models and optimized resource allocation to jointly expand overseas markets and inject new momentum into the economic development of Jiangxi Province and the nation.

Gong Youliang stated that NMS is accelerating its transformation from a traditional equipment manufacturer to an integrated “equipment manufacturing + services” solutions provider. To this end, the company continues to increase investment in high-end product innovation, intelligent O&M system development, and smart manufacturing upgrades, while establishing branches and spare parts service networks in key global mining regions to enhance international competitiveness through technological innovation and service optimization. NMS is also actively exploring the “F + EPC + O” business model—driving EPC delivery through resource investment—to provide global customers with system solutions covering the entire project life cycle. Gong expressed the hope that this strategic cooperation will serve as a catalyst for resource sharing, industrial upgrading, and service optimization with Jiangxi Copper, jointly enhancing the overall competitiveness of Made in China in the global mining sector.
This strategic partnership represents a strong alliance between leading upstream and downstream enterprises within Jiangxi’s industrial chain. Through resource integration and complementary strengths, both parties aim to open a new chapter of win-win development and contribute to high-quality regional economic growth and the advancement of China as a manufacturing powerhouse.
